Orange County Man Charged With Felony First Degree Statutory Sex Offense

On February 27, 2024, The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the Mebane Police Department of an alleged sexual assault believed to have occurred in Alamance County out of the Police Department’s jurisdiction.  

During the investigation, Deputies determined that the alleged sexual abuse involved and adult male and a juvenile. It is believed the alleged offense took place over a period of three years while the child was between the ages of 9 and 12 years old.

As the investigation continued, probable cause was established to charge the suspect, Natchez Santiago Matamoros, with three counts of First-Degree Statutory Sex Offense.

On Monday, April 29, 2024, Mr. Matamoros was arrested in Orange County by the Alamance County-Orange County Joint Strike Force Unit and taken into custody without incident. Mr. Matamoros was transported to the Alamance County Detention Center where he remains.

Registered Sex Offender Facing Additional Charges

On Thursday, February 29, 2024, a sex offender compliance check was conducted for Michael Allen Flatt at the registered address of Plaid St., Burlington, N.C. Information was obtained that Flatt was no longer staying at the residence and had not been staying there for several months. There was also additional information that Flatt had online identifiers not registered with the ACSO.

Flatt came to the Sheriff’s Office to complete an in-person check-in on Friday, April 5, 2024. Investigators interviewed Flatt to verify that he was not living on Plaid St. During the interview, Flatt stated that he was moving around. Flatt stated that between October and November 2023, he was not at the Plaid St. address.

Flatt was arrested on Monday, April 15, 2024, and transported to the Alamance County Detention Center where he remains.

County Woman Charged With Felony Exploitation Of Her Elderly Mother

On Thursday, May 18, 2023, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit began an investigation of elder abuse/fraud. Family members of the victim reported that the victim’s adult daughter, Marilyn Annette Ingram, was using the victim’s funds for personal gain while Ms. Ingram held her mother’s power of attorney.

Throughout the investigation, Detectives developed probable cause to charge Ms. Ingram with Felony Exploitation of an Elder Adult. Warrants were obtained for Ms. Ingram on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Ms. Ingram turned herself in at the Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

Burlington Man Charged With Felonies After Report Of Home Invasion

On Friday, March 8, 2024 at 4:25 p.m., Deputies responded to a report of home invasion in the 800 block of Deep Creek Church Rd., Burlington, N.C. On arrival, residents of the home stated that Dalessandro Razhyel Alberto came to the home in search of his ex-girlfriend, entered the residence without permission, and fired three rounds into the floor of the home. No one was injured.

Deputies were told that Mr. Alberto fled in his personal vehicle. Mr. Alberto was spotted by Deputies who conducted a traffic stop. Mr. Alberto was arrested and transported to the Alamance County Jail.

Graham Man Charged With Larceny Of Power Equipment After B&E

On Friday, February 3, 2024, the larceny of a pressure washer and generator from a residence in northern Alamance County was reported to the Sheriff’s Office. The victim stated that he suspected a nearby neighbor may have taken the equipment.

As the investigation continued, Detectives developed a suspect identified as Timothy Lee Mooney. A short time later, the pressure washer was located nearby at a residence belonging to a relative of the suspect. 

On March 7, 2024, Detectives learned that the generator was sold by the suspect at a pawn shop in Greensboro. Warrants for arrest were taken out on Mr. Mooney.

On Wednesday, March 20, 2023, Mr. Mooney was arrested by ACSO Patrol Deputies. Mr. Mooney was taken to the Alamance County Jail where he was also served with warrants on narcotics charges.

High Point Man Charged With Felony Larceny Of Firearm

On Thursday, November 9, 2023, Deputies began an investigation of larceny of a handgun. The victim reported that he recently had two movers in his north Burlington residence and suspected the gun was taken by one of them.

Throughout the investigation, Detectives developed probable cause to charge one of the movers with the larceny. Warrants were obtained for the arrest of Donald Fitzgerald McInnis. Mr. McInnis was located and arrested on March 11, 2024 by the High Point Police Department. Mr. McInnis was transported to the Alamance County Jail later the same day.

Gibsonville Man Charged With Possession of Firearm by Felon

On Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 3:50 p.m., Patrol Deputies responded to the 4300-block of Jug House Rd, Gibsonville, N.C., after receiving a report of trespassing on private property. On arrival, Deputies discovered a pick-up truck stuck in the front yard of the property. Deputies were told by the property owner, that he approached the driver of the truck with intentions to assist. The property owner stated the driver then displayed a shotgun.

As Deputies approached the truck, the driver got out and began walking towards the woods. The driver was detained and identified as Kevin Alfonzo Graves. Mr. Graves is known by Deputies to be a convicted felon. A firearm was located in the truck Mr. Graves was operating. A search warrant was executed on the vehicle and the firearm was seized.

As the investigation continued, Deputies obtained an additional search warrant which was executed at Mr. Graves’ residence near Gibsonville, N.C. where additional firearms were found.

 Mr. Graves was arrested and transported to the Alamance County Jail where he remains.

Mebane Man Charged With Assault On Pregnant Woman

On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, the Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit (SVU), began an investigation regarding a report of an assault on a female which allegedly occurred near the 1400 block of Mebane Oaks Rd., Mebane, N.C. Detectives learned that the victim was 38 weeks pregnant when the assault occurred. The victim was transported to a local hospital.

During the investigation, Detectives identified Caleb Steven Dunman as the suspect. Warrants were taken out on Mr. Dunman for assault and domestic violence.

ACSO Detectives learned that the Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested Caleb Steven Dunman on an outstanding Order for Arrest. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and advised of the outstanding Warrants for Arrest on Caleb Steven Dunman. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office served the ACSO Warrants for Arrest.

Rockingham County Man Charged With Communicating Threat Of Mass Violence

On Saturday, March 2, 2024 at approximately 7:30 p.m., Deputies responded to Friendship Baptist Church on Elon-Ossippee Rd., Elon, N.C., in reference to a report of communicating threats. On arrival, Deputies were informed that a former church member, identified as Keven Wayne Dillard, had contacted a member of the Church’s security team asking to enter the church on Sunday.

The security team member refused the request because of what was described as threatening comments by Mr. Dillard. The Church Pastor was notified who called the Sheriff’s Office.

As the investigation continued, probable caused was found to charge Mr. Dillard with communicating a threat of mass violence.

Alamance County Deputies contacted the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office to request assistance in locating and serving Mr. Dillard with the warrant since he is a Rockingham Co. resident. At approximately 11:35 p.m. the same night, Rockingham County Deputies placed Mr. Dillard under arrest. He was transported to the Rockingham County jail where he was held without bond.

Patrol Deputies Arrest Teenager On Charges of Breaking and  Entering

On Monday, February 5, 2024, Patrol Deputies responded to 649 Trollingwood-Hawfields Rd., Mebane, N.C. (Clover Creek Village MHP) in reference to a Breaking and Entering in progress. On arrival, Deputies observed a male leaving the area where the incident occurred.

While on scene, Patrol Deputies were able to confirm that someone did make entry into the unoccupied residence. As Deputies conducted a canvass of the area, a suspect was developed and identified as Arick Jahir Meraz.

Mr. Meraz was arrested and transported to the Alamance County Detention Center.
