On Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the Burlington Police Department in reference to a sexual assault case. The report indicated that approximately seven victims were sexually assaulted by a family member identified as Kenneth Ray King, Jr. The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit continued the investigation.
On May 30, Mr. King was charged and arrested for (F) Indecent liberties with a minor and two counts of (F) First degree sex offense with a minor. He was transported to the Alamance County Detention Center and given a $300,000 secured bond.
Edited to add: Mr. King was also charged on June 2, 2021, for two counts of (F) Indecent Liberties with a Minor and one count of (F) Statutory Sex Offense with a Child by an Adult. He was given a $100,000 secured bond.

KENNETH RAY KING JR. 4124 NC 54 HWY., LOT 39, GRAHAM, NC W/M/39
On May 10, 2021, members of the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit and Special Operations Unit conducted a traffic stop on a 1994 Ford Explorer at 3539 S NC 87 Hwy. in Graham, NC. The occupants of the vehicle were identified as John Ferguson and Elizabeth Moody. The Street Crimes and Special Operations Unit were familiar with Mr. Ferguson and had received information that he was involved in the sale of methamphetamine. Both occupants gave consent to officers to search their vehicle.
During the search, methamphetamine residue, which tested positive in a presumptive field test, was found in a metal canister on a keychain. The vehicle also contained two packages postmarked from Great Britain addressed to Thompson Mill Road in Graham, NC, and two packages that were sealed in USPS bags.
Due to the residue of methamphetamine, a K-9 sniff of the packages was requested. The K-9 conducted a free air sniff of each package and gave a positive indication for the odor of narcotics. Two packages contained push packs of Etizolam pills, which is a Schedule I controlled substance included in the NC Controlled Substances Act. The two USPS packages contained 270 dosage units of Xanax, which is a Schedule IV controlled substance included in the NC Controlled Substances Act.
Mr. Ferguson and Ms. Moody both indicated that they receive packages from another country, repackage the pills, and then ship them throughout the United States. From the interviews, it was also determined that there was another package containing pills in a postal box at the UPS store on S. Church Street in Burlington. That package was seized, placed into evidence, and a search warrant issued. It contained 2500 dosage units of Etizolam.
Ms. Moody was then charged with PWISD Schedule I Controlled Substance, PWISD Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was placed in the Alamance County Detention Center under a $50,000.00 secured bond. Later, arrest warrants were also issued for Mr. Ferguson.
During the course of the investigation, storage units were discovered that contained large quantities of empty pill bottles, USPS packing boxes, and additional controlled substances. The following were found:

30 dosage units of Temazepam (Schedule IV Controlled Substance)
70 dosage units of Pregabalin (Schedule V Controlled Substance)
9 dosage units of Diazepam (Schedule IV Controlled Substance)
5,120 dosage units of Tapentadol (Schedule II Controlled Substance)
1 dosage unit of Suboxone (Schedule III Controlled Substance)
4,610 dosage units of unknown pills
304.01 grams of unknown powder substances
On May 12, 2021, Elizabeth Moody and John Ferguson were both charged with the following:

Due to the continued delivery of prescription medications, on May 27, 2021, Elizabeth Moody and John Ferguson were both charged with the following:

As a result of this investigation, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office seized a total of 72,490 dosage units and 304.01 grams of unknown powder substance.

On April 30, 2021, at approximately 7:45 p.m., the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop, and Mr. Malcolm Devon Blue was pulled over on Sandy Cross Road for failing to stay within the traffic lane. During the stop, Mr. Blue was asked to step out of the car but refused to cooperate with deputies. He later resisted arrest by shutting the door on another deputy. A positive K9 alert was made on the vehicle, and cocaine and a firearm were found.

On May 1, 2021 at approximately 9:15 p.m., the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on NC Hwy 70 Bypass for a speeding violation. During the traffic stop, alcohol odor was detected from the vehicle and the driver, Adam Lorenzo Brown. A field sobriety test was performed roadside, and Mr. Brown was taken into custody for driving while impaired. At the stop, there was also a positive K9 alert on the vehicle, and a small bag of white powder substance was located inside the air vent of the vehicle as well as a cut straw containing powder residue.

On May 15, 2021, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Willie Pace Road. Upon contact, the deputy detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. In addition, a positive K9 alert was made, and Ecstasy and a firearm were located in the vehicle.

On May 15, 2021, at approximately 1:15 a.m., the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on N. NC Hwy 62 and Lower Hopedale Road. During the stop, marijuana was visible on the floorboard of the passenger rear area. In addition, alcohol odor was detected coming from the impaired driver and the vehicle. After a positive K9 alert, marijuana and a digital scale were located inside the vehicle, and Ecstasy pills and plastic bags were found on Mr. Hester.

On May 26, 2021, at approximately midnight, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Cameron Javon Foster who failed to stop at a stop sign off of Martin Street. Upon contact, there was a mason jar in plain view containing marijuana as well as the odor of alcohol from the vehicle and driver who admitted he was drinking. Mr. Foster was then taken into custody and a probable cause search was conducted. Over 140 grams of marijuana were found along with a digital scale and plastic bags.
On May 22, 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office responded to S. Main Street in Graham, North Carolina in reference to an automobile larceny. Deputies initiated a traffic stop of the stolen vehicle and placed the driver, Cody Allen Harvill, under arrest. Additionally, deputies found 1.64 grams of heroin on Mr. Harvill.
Mr. Harvill was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle (F), possession of heroin (F) and possession of drug paraphernalia (M) and was given a $25,000 secured bond.

On Saturday, May 22, 2021, at approximately midnight, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office received a report from Mr. Herman Glenn Fulp in reference to a domestic incident. Mr. Fulp claimed that his son, David Glenn Fulp, punched and choked him and then threatened to kill him, his wife, and his brother. Mr. Fulp also indicated that his son promised to have a shootout with deputies if they arrived.
Based on Mr. David Fulp’s violent history and his threats to shoot law enforcement, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office took out warrants for his arrest and activated the Special Response Team. Once deployed to the residence, the suspect was arrested after a brief foot pursuit through the woods. He was then transported to the Alamance County Detention Center where he was given a $500,000 secured bond.

On May 18, 2021, at approximately 7:00 a.m., The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a stop of Mr. Ricky Dilon Price who had an active Warrant for Arrest. Mr. Price refused to stop his vehicle, proceeded to increase his speed, and turned into oncoming traffic. Unfortunately, deputies were unable to locate Mr. Price or his vehicle at that time.
Later that evening, a deputy from the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office conducted a routine patrol in the area of McCray Road and Highway 49 North, when he came upon Mr. Price. After confirming his identity, the deputy approached the suspect who ran away and disappeared into the woods. With the help of an Alamance County Sheriff’s Office K-9, Mr. Price was apprehended, taken into custody, and placed under a $30,000 secured bond.

On Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 5:51am, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office responded to Woodbrooke Drive in reference to shots fired into a residence. Once inside, numerous bullet holes and projectiles were found in the kitchen area and on the exterior of the home.
Several hours prior, deputies from the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office also responded to a domestic at a difference residence on Woodbrooke Drive involving Mr. Ronald Baisden and his son. After further investigation, a search warrant was served for Mr. Baisden and additional evidence was collected and processed.
Mr. Ronald Baisden was charged and arrested for Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling and Injury to Real Property.

On April 12, 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a minor who was believed to have been exploited by an Alamance County resident.
After receiving this report, members of the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit investigated the allegation. As a result of the investigation, Mr. Harry “Bo” Clifford Taylor was charged and arrested for Indecent Liberties with a Child, and Mr. Taylor’s bond was set at $75,000 secured.
This case is ongoing and additional charges are possible from the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office and speak with a member of the Special Victims Unit at 336-570-6300.

In response to the cybersecurity attack on the Colonial Pipeline Company, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Management encourage residents not to buy excessive amounts of fuel which can significantly affect the current supply.
“At this time federal, state, and local government agencies are actively working to avoid disruption to the fuel supply. Please do not panic and start hoarding gas as this only exacerbates the situation,” said Emergency Management Director Yancy King.
“In order to conserve fuel, please consider the following fuel saving tips: slow down and watch your speed, reduce idling, minimize use of air conditioning, and eliminate non-essential driving. We can all do our part to cut back on our fuel consumption and minimize the impact of the decreased pipeline operations,” said Sheriff Johnson.

On Sunday, May 9, 2021, deputies with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office conducted a check point in the 4100 block of S NC 87 Hwy, Graham, NC. During this time, a vehicle was stopped because the driver was not in possession of a driver’s license. Through the investigation, a K-9 alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted. As a result of the search, Methamphetamines were located along with drug paraphernalia.
As a result of this investigation, Thomas James Albert Jennings was placed under arrest and charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamines, Driving While License Revoked, and Failure to Display Registration Plate. Mr. Jennings received a $5,000.00 secured bond and had a first appearance in court on Monday, May 10, 2021, at 2:00 pm.

On Monday, May 10, 2021, just after 1:00 am, deputies with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office responded to 4305 Michael Alan Court in Graham, N.C., in reference to a domestic disturbance where an individual was trying to break into a residence. When deputies arrived on-scene, it was reported that the victim’s ex-boyfriend had attempted to enter the residence through a window but had left prior to deputies arriving. Evidence was located at the scene to show that the suspect had attempted to enter the residence from the window as the victim reported.
A short time later, the suspect was located at 3313 S NC 119 Hwy – Lot 1 in Haw River, N.C., and placed under arrest. He was identified as Joshua Brandon Simber and charged with Attempted First-Degree Burglary, Injury to Real Property, and Resisting Delay Obstructing an Officer. Mr. Simber received no bond and was placed on a domestic hold. He had a first appearance in court on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
