Male Charged with Felony for Indecent Exposure

On September 23, 2021, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Glencoe Paddle Access in reference to a call for service. An individual witnessed a male who was later identified as Randy Lynn Duckworth exposing himself in public in the presence of a minor on September 20. 

Mr. Duckworth was charged with a felony and received a $10,000 secured bond.

Male Charged with Felony for Identity Theft 

On July 27, 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office received a report of suspected fraud. According to the victim, on July 21, 2021 at approximately 8:00 p.m., an individual used the victim’s State Employee’s Credit Union card number to make an online purchase from a store in High Point. 

After an investigation, Jonathan Micale Graham was charged with a felony for identity theft and arrested by the Durham Police Department.

Alamance Sheriff’s Office Investigates Homicide from 9-24-21

On Friday, September 24, 2021, at approximately 9:00 a.m., the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report on Brucewood Road in Graham, N.C., regarding a deceased male found on the side of the road.

Sheriff’s Office investigators were able to identify the victim as Jamel Ramel Haskins (B/M/28) who resided in Durham County. His next of kin has been notified.

Mr. Haskins has been verified as affiliating with gangs in Durham County, and the location of his death appears to be an isolated incident with no known ties to the neighborhood where his body was found.

Preliminary reports indicate that the victim suffered from gunshot wounds sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Detectives are still waiting for results from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.

This information was delayed in its release due to the time it took to locate and notify his family. 

Male Charged for Indecent Liberties with Child

On September 1, 2021, at approximately 6:00 a.m., the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office received a report regarding Michael Seth McDaniel, a 21 year-old male, who had been in a relationship with a 13 year-old female. 

After detectives from the Special Victims Unit conducted an investigation, Mr. McDaniel was charged with a felony for indecent liberties with a child and given a $5,000 secured bond.

Two Identified and Arrested for Larceny

On September 16, 2021, at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a larceny in Mebane off of Hwy 119 N. The victim reported that the suspect took firearms, electronics, and tools from the residence. 

After the scene was processed and the case investigated further, two suspects were identified as Dustin Flynn and Stephanie Justice. Both were arrested on September 21, 2021, and charged.

Male Charged with Felonies Related to Rape

On September 1, 2021, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a sexual assault that occurred about a year ago to a minor

After an investigation, the Sheriff’s Office arrested Lannie Jones Jr. on September 17, 2021, for Statutory Rape of a Child, Statutory Sex Offense with a Child, and Indecent Liberties with a Child.

Male Charged with 2nd Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor

On June 25, 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office received a cyber tip that an individual had uploaded two files containing child sexual abuse materials to Instagram. Investigators found that the files were uploaded from 519 Wood Street and identified Donavan Summers as the registered owner of the Instagram account of the uploaded files. After speaking with the Alamance County District Attorney’s Office, investigators went before the Magistrate to swear out warrants for the arrest of Mr. Summers.
 
On September 9, 2021, members with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team along with investigators from the Special Victims Unit and Major Crimes Division executed a search warrant at 519 Wood Street in an attempt to locate evidence. During the search, Mr. Summers was placed under arrest for his two outstanding warrants and later given a $10,000 secured bond. The Sheriff’s Office also seized multiple electronic devices which will be analyzed for evidence.

Silver Alert Issued for Alamance County Male

A Silver Alert has been issued for Mr. Aaron Blalock who was last seen in Lee County on September 5 around 3:30 p.m. He is 5’5” and approximately 156lbs. with black/gray hair and brown eyes. He may be operating a Gold 2002 Honda Accord with a black fender.

Alamance and Orange County Sheriff’s Office Strike Team Make Arrest

On September 2, 2021, at approximately 9:15 p.m., deputies with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Strike Team conducted a traffic stop when a vehicle was observed making an unsafe movement. During the stop, a canine was utilized to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle and a positive indication was observed by the canine handler. During a probable cause search, a firearm was located.

Felony Charges by the ACSO

On August 14, 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call in reference to credit card fraud by someone named “Christopher” who made a purchase online. After an investigation, the suspect was identified as Christopher Wayne Woods who was charged and transported to the Alamance County Detention Center and given a $3500 secured bond.

On August 10, 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office responded to Rumley Road in reference to a 2006 Keystone camping trailer that was stolen on June 10, 2021. The victim received a note on August 10 regarding the missing trailer and contacted law enforcement. Investigators determined that Michael David Stokes had taken the trailer and had been staying in it. He was arrested on September 2, 2021.

On August 13, 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office was called to Crawford Road in reference to missing tools. The victim stated that on August 8 they noticed that several tools were missing from the home. The victim then called a local pawn shop where the items were verified as the victim’s. Investigators identified the seller as Jason Robert Ivey who was arrested on August 30, 2021.
