Pair Charged With Possession Of Weapon On Campus Of Western Alamance High School
On Friday August 30, 2024 at approximately 8:20 a.m., the staff at Western Alamance High School notified the Sheriff’s Officer School Resource Officer (SRO) of a vehicle which was driving erratically in the student parking lot. The SRO attempted to make contact with the occupants of the vehicle, who had pulled into a school parking space. The driver of the vehicle exited the parking space at a high rate of speed striking a tractor and a pole, which belonged to the Alamance Burlington School System.
After the collision, with the quick response and assistance of school staff, the SRO detained the driver and a passenger of the vehicle. Deputies located a black BB Pistol in a paddle holster located in the floorboard of the vehicle between the passenger’s legs. A THC vape pen was also located in the vehicle.
Deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as Nathen Samuel Seger, a former student at Western Alamance High School and passenger Katlin Grace Wilson who is currently enrolled at Western Alamance High School.
Both were arrested and transported to the Alamance County Detention Center and taken before a Magistrate.
