Mother Charged With Felony Child Abuse And Strangulation

On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office received a report of alleged child abuse. During the investigation, it was determined that the juvenile had been assaulted prior to going to school.

Special Victims Unit Investigators found probable cause to charge the child’s mother, Ashely Nicole Thompson. Ms. Thompson was transported to the Alamance County Detention Center on Friday, May 3, 2024.
