Unsafe Movement Prompts Traffic Stop, Driver In Jail With Multiple Felonies
On Wednesday April 6, 2022 at 12:14 a.m., an Alamance County Deputy was driving north on S. Main St. in Graham. The Deputy was behind a white Camry which moved to the center turn lane then suddenly moved back to the travel lane nearly striking the Deputies’ Patrol car.
The Camry turned onto E. Gilbreath St. where the Deputy initiated a traffic stop for unsafe movement. During the stop, the driver presented a fictitious driver license and claimed to be the person on the license. However, the photo on the license was not that of the driver who was later identified as Christian James Yarbor.
During a search incident to arrest, Mr. Yarbor was found to have 1.27 grams of Methamphetamine on his person. It was also learned that Mr. Yarbor was wanted for parole violation for Trafficking Schedule 1 Controlled Substance.
