Deputies Respond To Woman’s Screams For Help-Boyfriend Charged With Felonious Restraint
On Tuesday March 29, 2022 at 9:30 a.m., Patrol Deputies were sitting stationary in the parking lot of Five Points Grocery at Carolina Rd. and N. NC 62 north of Burlington. While observing traffic, a white in color Nissan Altima passed the Deputies’ location traveling southbound on N. NC 62 Highway towards the City limits of Burlington, NC. As the Nissan Altima passed by, a female subject was observed leaning out of the passenger side window screaming “Let me out! Let me out.”
Deputies caught up with the Nissan and initiated a traffic stop in the 2200blk on N. NC 62. Deputies were able to assist and provide aid to the female while an additional Deputy instructed the driver to exit the vehicle.
